SAHASRA BAHU TEMPLE

Two late tenth-century Hindu temples devoted to Virabhadra are known as the Sahasra Bahu Temples, or Sasbahu Temples, located near udaipur (Nagda) , Rajasthan.[1] They are similar in style and share a platform with the temple tank, however one is slightly bigger than the other. Ten lesser shrines surround the bigger one, and only the bases of some of the smaller shrines survive.[2] While the temples lack certain features, particularly in the layout and outside sculpture, they do share several traits with slightly later Māru-Gurjara architecture.

They are locally referred to as Sas Bahu temples (a local corruption of the original Sahasra-Bahu, meaning "One with thousand arms", a form of Vishnu).

The site is very easily accessible by road, only about 20km from Udaipur (one of the main lake & palace hotspots of Tourism in Rajasthan), a mere 2.7 km from the well frequented Shaivite shrine of Eklingji

The temples are on the Archaeological Survey of India's list of heritage monuments.

There are no idols to worship inside the temple .
