BADI LAKE


Lake Badi is an artificial freshwater lake situated in Udaipur city , The lake was built in the village of Badi, about 12 km from Udaipur, by Maharana Raj Singh I to counteract the devastating effects of a famine. He named it Jiyan Sagar after his mother Jana Devi. The length and the width of the lake are 2.285 Km and 0.642 km respectively, while its average depth is 10.6 meters and the maximum depth is 23 meters

 

There are no charges to visit the lake

But if you want to see the dam wall and a perfect place to sit than there is a option too 

the ticket pricing for that are RS 15 ....( ticket to sit on badi pal )

 

 

# Avoid going there after sunset as it is unsafe at night.

# Take a trip to the Bahubali Hills when you visit the area, zas the hills are very close to the lake,
