GATA WALI MATA TEMPLE


The Ghata Wala Mata Ji temple is located on the eastern gate of the princely period of Udaipur, the capital of Mewar after Chittorgarh and is currently located on Debari Panchayat Chittorgarh Highway. It is believed that Goddess Chamunda Mata of Ghatawala always protected the eastern gate of Udaipur from the enemies. Presently, visitors from many other districts including Mewar come to this temple and have darshan of the mother. The temple will also be renovated and will take a grand look in the future.

Famous story about mata ji is that ,the swarm of bees that emerged from the mother's navel had driven away the Mughals when they tried to invade Udaipur .

 

# Rules and regulation which should be kept in while visiting the temple -

# Please do not attempt to take any pictures or videos within the temple as this is completely forbidden and could result in disciplinary action from the temple's guardians.

#Do not wear shoes and socks inside the temple premises. 
#Do not wear any leather objects inside the temple (belt, jacket, bag). 
#Do not visit the temple if you have consumed any form of alcohol or nonvegetarian food. 
#Do not spit in the temple area. 
#Do not throw any garbage or make the place dirty.
#Do not touch any idol inside the temple chamber.
#Do not eat anything in the temple, and you should have a clean mouth while worshiping the god or godesses.
